Well, we moved to a new flat, and as always in Germany I had to wait for Internet to come online. In my case, two weeks. Aweful thing: two weeks without internet. Except if you make it work for you instead, and use the time to port code to KDE4. I did that. And not any code. Of course I am talking about K3b. While Laurent already did a lot of the dirty work and I hacked on it from time to time my days where just too filled with communication and Nepomuk.
Without Internet there is no communication and without communication there is no distraction. So now K3b is almost completely ported. The only usage of QT3/4-support are some listviews (obviously). But even here I already ported the most important ones: data project, audio project, and the audio CD ripping. BTW: the latter now uses libkcddb for cddb lookup which means less redundant work and musicbrainz support for free.
There is still some work to be done (K3b is pretty big) but the last two weeks helped A LOT.
Anyway, now Internet is back online and thus, communication resumes, and with it comes the distraction. But now that I am back into the K3b codebase it should be much easier to finish the port in the course of my "normal" work days.
