Main development is currently done in the kde extragear module.

To get the k3b package from the git repository:

1. Check out the current K3b development branch:

   # git clone git://anongit.kde.org/k3b

2. For a build system CMake is used. It needs a separate build directory:

   # cd k3b
   # mkdir build
   # cd build
   # cmake ..

3. Start the compilation:

   # make
