Main development is currently done in the kde extragear module.

The KDE 3 development version can be found in branches/kde3/extragear/multimedia

To get the k3b package from the extragear subversion repository:
(for more details on subversion and KDE see: Anonymous SVN and KDE)

1. Check out the current K3b development HEAD:

   # svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/extragear/multimedia/k3b multimedia/k3b

2. The extragear configure stuff is needed for compilation:

   # svn co -N svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/extragear/multimedia multimedia

3. Since herein is not contained an admin directory you also need to checkout the kde-common package (The trunk version will not work here since the KDE trunk has moved to KDE4 and, thus, is not autoconf based anymore):

   # svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/branches/KDE/3.5/kde-common/admin multimedia/admin

4. create the configure script in the eextragear directory:

   # cd multimedia
   # make -f Makefile.cvs

5. Start the compilation:

   # ./configure
   # cd k3b
   # make
